Ben Brasfield

Helping Virginia Families With Criminal, Traffic Defense, And Family Matters

Serving the counties of Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Arlington, Stafford, and the City of Alexandria.

Ben is a native of Alexandria and has been practicing since 2015. He attended Trinity College (CT) and the University of Dayton School of Law.

Ben focuses on matters of criminal, traffic defense, and family law—which encompasses divorce and child issues such as custody and visitation. He began his career at Legal Aid Works in Fredericksburg, where he represented clients in family law and immigration matters.

After working at a small firm in Fairfax, Ben served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fairfax County under Ray Morrogh. During that time, he focused on crimes of domestic violence. Ben handled thousands of misdemeanor and hundreds of felony cases, including abduction, malicious wounding, strangulation, assault and battery, and stalking.

He has tried over one dozen jury trials. Ben’s experience as a prosecutor enables him to effectively counsel his clients and provide a well-rounded understanding of the interplay between criminal law and family law matters.

When he is not working, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and golden retriever, as well as travelling and cooking. As someone born and raised in Alexandria, he is a fan of all Washington professional sports teams and Liverpool FC. In his free time, he volunteers with the Screaming Eagles, a DC United supporters’ group.
