Legal Assistant
Ankita Bhurtel joined the Select Law Partners team in May 2023 and works in our Fairfax office. Prior to joining Select Law Partners, Ankita worked as a legal secretary at a real estate firm for nearly 3 years. She also recently earned her undergraduate degree from George Mason University, ending with a 4.1 weighted GPA.
Her love for reading inspired her to create Book Buzz. The book club has over 200 student members committed to using literature to explore the world around them. During her time at Mason, she was also the Co-President of the Schar Pre-Law Group, the Vice President of the field hockey club, and competed in several intercollegiate national policy debate tournaments, winning the 2022 and 2023 Crowe Warken Debates at the United States Naval Academy twice in a row. She received the National Debate Scholar award for graduating summa cum laude and was also recognized as an All-American debater, an award given to the top 30 debaters in the nation that represent the best of intercollegiate debate, as they demonstrate competitive success, academic success, good conduct, and impressive contributions to their team.
At Mason, she also received the Excellence in Research and Dr. Bruce Manchester Outstanding Academic Achievement in Communication awards. When she is not conducting research, working at the firm, or reading, Ankita enjoys coaching field hockey and policy debate.
