As a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Emily has spent her life in the Commonwealth and continues to serve her community in a wide variety of family cases in Northern and Central Virginia. She received a B.A. in psychology from the University of Virginia, and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
Since 2004, Emily has been representing clients in family law cases, as well as in criminal and traffic defense throughout the Fredericksburg area.
Emily’s legal practice focuses on criminal and traffic defense. She has extensive experience with family law issues to include divorce, child custody, and visitation. Emily focuses on providing experienced representation that focuses on each client’s individual needs. She works tirelessly to achieve the desired result for each of her clients.
Emily is a dedicated Guardian ad litem in the state, advocating for the needs of children. In 2007, Emily was named Guardian ad litem of the Year by the Rappahannock Area Court Appointed Special Advocates.
When Emily is not working, she enjoys traveling to places near and far. She is a “beach girl” at heart and spends as much time as she can on Virginia’s beaches. In the wintertime, Emily spends her free time skiing.
Emily was named a Rising Star in Richmond Magazine’s Super Lawyers in 2009, 2010, and 2011. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Fredericksburg Area Bar Association, serving as an officer for 2011.
